ABRE’s Toxicology Committee is a voluntary work group headquartered and supported by ABRE – Brazilian Packaging Association.

In this Committee there is an Exclusion List of Brazilian raw materials for inks of impression and other materials, destined to the confection of nourishing packages, aiming the reduction of potential health risks.

The list is a result of an extensive work that comes being carried through since April of 2002 for the Committee and is based on the voluntary European Exclusion List of the entity CEPE (European Council of Paint, Printing Ink and Artists' Colours Industry) that is accepted and followed by manufacturers and users of impression inks in Europe, and it was adjusted to the Brazilian Market needs.

The companies that join the list are compromising in not to use the components related in the list, such as in the ink formula and its applications.
