The member of ABRE, Klabin (www.klabin.com.br) will increase its capacity of production of cardboard to 440 thousand tones with the remodeling of the Voith Paper machine installed in the Telêmaco Borba plant, located in the state of Paraná (south of Brazil). The project aim is to increase 15% in the current capacity as well as the improvement of the quality of final product. The cardboard produced in this machine is dedicated to packaging of liquid products (juice, milk, milk cream, etc) and folding boxes used in cereals, pies and other pastries.
This equipment, project originally for a production of 350 thousand tons per year, passes through regular updating since its start-up in 2007, achieving the actual 380 thousand tons. The machine is already considered one of the most modern in Americas to the production of paper for packaging.
