The Brazilian executive, Paulo Nigro, President of Tetra Pak Brazil & Paraguay (www.tetrapak.com.br) and Vice President of Central and South Americas, will assume, beginning in July 1st, the leadership of the group in North, Central and South Americas. In the company since 1991, the executive had already been President of Canada and Italy operations.
In Brazil, the company registered a turnover of about US$ 2 billion that represents an increase of 7% compared to the previous year. In this period the Brazilian operation sold 13 billion packaging units with a special performance of beverage sector that increased 20% mainly because of ready to drink juices.
Paulo Nigro will be replaced by Marcelo Queiroz that comes back to Brazil after six years in Nairobi-Kenya, as Director President of Tetra Pak Eastern Africa and Coordinator of Commercial Area for Sub Saharan Africa.
